Dr. Marino is Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University, Project Director of the RSCICDV and Director of Research in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Dr. Marino graduated from Jefferson Medical College and completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University in 1987. He completed a masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has additional certification in the subspecialty of Spinal Cord Injury Medicine.
His research interests include the course of neurological recovery in spinal cord injury and functional outcome measures.
Dr. Marino is an active member of the Boards of the American Spinal Injury Association, the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, and the International Spinal Cord Society.
He has participated in several clinical trials of acute and chronic intervention in spinal cord injury. He has authored or co-authored over 38 scientific papers and 57 abstracts.
